Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art Free Admission Day

Los Angeles is home to many great museums, each one unique and inspiring in its own right. Fortunately for the general public, many also provide the opportunity to visit one of these local treasures free of charge. The Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Los Angeles, also known as MOCA Grand Avenue, is one of those treasures that, with a little planning, you can take your family to experience without spending a dime. It is home to one of the country’s finest collections of American and European art created since 1940. MOCA currently holds approximately 5,000 objects in all ranging from abstract expressionism and pop art to recent works by young and emerging artists.

MOCA Grand Avenue is open to the public every Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., courtesy of Wells Fargo Bank. You can take the family out for an evening of culture and then perhaps a bite to eat before heading home for the evening. For more information on hours and admission click here.
